Overall Ministry Purpose:

It might be helpful to re-identify each year our long-term, God-given purpose as a mission agency which will not change from year to year unless our heavenly Father Himself changes the original purpose for why GTN exists.

GTN was established by God through Dr. Daniel and Sharon Williams as a servant (support) ministry to help churches, field missionaries, and the body of Christ as a whole to participate in reaping a global harvest until every tribe, tongue, people, and nation has been reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ. To help us maintain a proper focus that will keep GTN on track with its God-given purpose, listed below are six essential components that must always be considered:

  1. Build Go To Nations on a vision, not personalities
  2. GTN is committed to the mobilization, training, productivity, and personal welfare of GTN missionary teams
  3. GTN is an equipping and mobilizing ministry to help equip, mobilize and serve the national leaders and churches for the expansion of national and international ministry
  4. TN is to help missionaries develop spiritual and experiential discernment to identify the needs of an area, region, or nation compared to the callings and giftings of the team, and plan accordingly.
  5. GTN is committed to being pro-active in creating multi-generational ministry for long-term fruitfulness
  6. GTN is committed to global partnership with other parts of the body of Christ for the purpose of completing the Great Commission.

A New Generation of Global Ministry:

On January 1, it will not just be the beginning of another New Year of ministry at GTN. It will mark the completion of 40 years of missions ministry that has expanded to 106 nations. For our Executive Officers, our World Headquarters Team, our field missionaries, and all our national affiliate ministers - THIS IS A REALLY BIG DEAL! Because in our hearts, all of us are sensing a whole new supernatural release of God’s provision, power, and anointing to impact nations with the Gospel in a way that we have never experienced. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, we have seen God move in such supernatural ways for GTN. But that was just a taste of what is ahead concerning God’s goodness.

At the beginning of 2020, I had a vision where I saw a big workbench with several tools on it. I knew the tools represented different instruments God would use to usher in the last “Great Awakening” before the return of Christ. As I looked closer at the tools laying on the workbench, I noticed that one of the tools had Go To Nations written on it.

As in this vision, God continues to confirm His desire to use GTN in a significant way in this hour. The year 2021 marks the beginning of GTN entering into its third generation of ministry. When describing the history of GTN generationally, here is what it looks like:

1981-2000: The Generation of Pioneering
2001-2020: The Generation of Building
2021-2040: The Generation of Advancement

As GTN enters through the gate into this next generation, it will be a John 4:34-35 moment

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to accomplish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest.

In January of 1988, the Lord spoke to me at 7:00 AM on a Wednesday morning while I was praying in the GTN Ministry Center, and He said, “Son, I have called you to a John 4:34 ministry. I have been carrying that Word in my heart for 32 years. We are now entering through the gate into the fullness of that prophecy.

Generational Planning:

This is a special and unique time when it comes to ministry planning. Because we are not just fine-tuning our annual plans for 2021. We are literally closing out the end of a generation and our 2020 goals, AND we are establishing GTN’s Generation Ministry
Plan. This is a muli-year ministry plan with vision timelines of ten and twenty years from which GTN will build ministries processes, create team, develop partnerships, and address successional issues Before I present my personal goals for the Office of the President, I want to establish a clear understanding of the GTN Corporate Goals and the planning sequence in which the ministry will enter into the coming year.

Ministry Statements:

Mission Statement:

(Current) Our mission is to Go To Nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ until every tribe, every tongue, every nation has heard.

(Proposed) Go To Nations exists to initiate and accelerate Gospel ministry on a global scale until every tribe, every tongue, and every nation have heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Vision Statement:

(Current) Go To Nations, in global partnership with the body of Christ, trains leaders to change nations, ignites the fires of evangelism, brings hope to the hurting, and plants strong national churches. This is accomplished by envisioning, mobilizing, training, and serving the Church worldwide to conduct cross-cultural mission ministry.

(Proposed) The vision of Go To Nations is accomplished through our worldwide missionary field force and through increasing the ministry capabilities of churches, ministries, individuals, and other mission partnerships around the world.

Structural Build-Out:

The central question that needs to be addressed is: What will it take to initiate, create, and operate an effective, fruitful worldwide ministry that will accomplish GTN’s Generational Ministry Plan?

In answering this question, one of the main components is the development or build- out of our GTN structure. In this process, a key to remember is that structure serves the ministry, not the ministry serves the structure. That being said, structure can and will be adjusted as ministry growth takes place and the current structure is no longer adequate.

THE PURPOSE OF MINISTRY STRUCTURE is to display a network of organizational components that establishes lines of authority, communications, and responsibilities. The build-out of ministry structure will focus on three main areas:

  • Global and Local Ministries
