In order for the board of directors of GTN to be different from secular or other non- profit boards, it should be distinct in the following ways:
- Common Christian Faith:
- The board members must be mature Christians following Jesus Christ. These are people involved in prayerful intercession and act in faith and in integrity in all they do in their personal and professional lives.

- Ministry Statements:
- GTN has established ministry statements that all board members support as a basis for all decisions made by the board. These ministry statements provide the values and missional framework for all decisions made by the board.

- Christian Worldview:
- As a result of the board members common Christian faith and GTN’s written Statement of Faith, the board seeks to operate from a Christian worldview. This means that GTN board members acknowledge God as the Creator and Sustainer of life and the expansion of God’s eternal kingdom in the heart’s of men and women is the ultimate purpose for our existence as a ministering force on earth. Therefore, the focus of GTN is not to build a ministry but to seek to accomplish the Great Commission as outlined in the Bible.

- A Maturing Fellowship:
- Each member of the board is committed to caring for each other, learning and growing together, creating a climate for personal, professional, and spiritual growth for every team member of the ministry, and demonstrating love to all whom they serve.

- Accountable To God As Stewards:
- GTN belongs entirely to God. Its board members are accountable to God, Who provides the moral authority for all that is done. With this understanding that God owns all, board members serve as stewards of God’s creation and are accountable to God for all board operations that oversee the ministry. Its actions, plans, and policies are ultimately responsible for reflecting God’s will for GTN. Recognizing this reality, prayerful deliberation by board members becomes the norm and not the exception. The biblical definition of a steward determines the role of the board in every facet of its governing role. Owner of nothing, overseer of all, and accountable for all sums up what it means to be on GTN’s board of directors as a Christ-centered ministry.
