Besides the president, no other internal staff member serves as a board member. Other internal staff members may participate in board meetings as invited. The board has a fiduciary duty for the organization and is legally liable for its activities. It is responsible to make sure the vision of the ministry is clearly stated and implemented in an effective and ethical manner.
Board of Directors’ Purpose Statement
The board of directors of Go To Nations exists to ensure that the ministry has all the necessary components to fulfill its mission – which is Go To Nations exists to initiate and accelerate missions ministry on a global scale until every tribe, every tongue, and every nation has heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Authority
It is vitally important for the board of directors to recognize their position as a spiritual role before God, and not just a legal role. The board of directors carries a position of authority before God pertaining to the accomplishment of His will through Go To Nations. And this spiritual authority needs to be exercised in the spiritual realm. When the board does not function in its spiritual authority in behalf of God’s purposes for Go To Nations, it becomes no different in its abilities and function than from any other secular board of directors like for the Rotary or Lion’s Club.
Go To Nations is a ministry called by God to carry out what can only be done with God’s power. The release of God’s power on behalf of the ministry should not start with the missionaries in the field, but rather, with the spiritual heads of the ministry – the board of directors.
To accomplish the vision of Go To Nations, it will take more than just legally documented meetings. It will take Spirit-charged meetings that bring forth supernatural results which only come forth through God’s divine power.

Robert’s Rules of Order
The chairman of the board shall conduct all meetings according to Robert’s Rules of Order. This provides for constructive and democratic meetings, to help, not hinder, the business of the board. It provides common rules and procedures for deliberation and debate in order to place the whole membership on the same footing and speaking the same language. The conduct of all business is controlled by the general will of the whole membership - the right of the deliberate majority to decide. Complementary is the right of at least a strong minority to require the majority to be deliberate - to act according to its considered judgment after a full and fair “working through” of the issues involved. Under no circumstances should “undue strictness” be allowed to intimidate members or limit full participation .
